Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What equipment and facilities are available to reserve?

A: Click here for a full list

Q: Who may reserve equipment and facilities?

A: Nashua High School Students (both North and South) and area students who are enrolled in Video Production 1 and Video Production 2

Q: Can anyone else reserve equipment or use the facility?

A: Not at this time.

Q: How do I reserve equipment?

A: Follow the link under the title of this page, pick your equipment, and submit your request. Some equipment is reserved for you immediately. Some other equipment reservations must be approved before the reservation is confirmed.

Q: How far in advance must I reserve equipment?

A: Ideally, one week. Equipment may be requested without much advance notice, but there is a greater chance that your reservation will be rejected.

Q: If I reserve equipment, will other people be able to see my reservation information?

A: Yes.

Q: Do I have to leave my telephone number and email as part of the reservation?

A: No, but your reservation might be rejected if this information is not provided.

E-mail information is critical because automatic notices are sent to your e-mail address by the reservation system. Your telephone number is important too because we may have a question about the equipment you want to reserve. We also need to be able to find you if you are late bringing back the equipment

Q: Am I responsible for the equipment when I am using it?

A: Yes. The Nashua School District reserves the right to ask you to replace equipment that you damage or destroy.

Q: When can I pick up my equipment?

A: At 2:03pm in E1024

Q: Can I pick it up earlier?

A: No. Other students may be using it during classes.

Q: When do I have to bring it back?

A: By 7:20am in E1024 the day it is to be returned. Please note: If the equipment is NOT returned when it is due, the ENTIRE reservation system collapses. You MUST bring the equipment back when it is due back.

Q: Where do I return the equipment?

A: To the Television Studio E1024. You MUST put the equipment back where it belongs. The equipment MUST be returned with BATTERIES CHARGED AND READY TO GO OUT WITH THE NEXT PERSON. Note: If you leave your DV tape in a camera, YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN! BE CAREFUL!!

Q: Do I have to take all the equipment listed in the package?

A: Yes. That is the preferred way to do this. If you leave equipment behind, you are still responsible for that equipment for the rental period you have indicated.

Q: Does a crew come with the reservation?

A: No. If you need a crew you have to gather one on your own.
